Cyberattacks not fiction to say the least. In the Smart world of today, you can see everything interconnected. Everyday there is a new app or program that lets you do more automation. Especially our solar customers who want to see the power they are making and selling back to the grid. Why not? We crave information and quickly. Having the conveniences that technology brings, should also bring caution. Recently an article published in Power Engineering highlighted the Risk and the Reality of the “Bad Guys” getting power over our electrical grid.

Many of our Sol-Ark customers are cautious and have taken action to take power back into their hands. Our customers plan for days and weeks or even months without power. Some think it may be even years as our utility grid figures out how to undo the damage done by the Cyber hackers. Our grandparents used to plan for long winters and loss of power or water, but in this day in age it’s looked upon with CRAZY in mind.
